Subsea 7 reduces COVID-19 contamination risks with BlueHealth and receives award from the British Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Britchan)
App for controlling and monitoring health protocols revolutionizes the company's pandemic-related damage management system
Subsea 7, a global leader in solutions for offshore projects and services for the Oil & Gas (O&G) and Energy industries, has chosen Intcom Digital's software to improve control measures and monitoring of symptoms and protocols associated with the new coronavirus pandemic.
The company, which is one of Petrobras' major partners in Brazil, was awarded by Britchan (The British Chamber Of Commerce in Brazil) for the set of initiatives adopted to mitigate the impacts of COVID-19 in the country. Among the solutions implemented by Subsea 7 is BlueHealth, Intcom Digital's new app for managing health protocols in companies.
According to Bruna Teixeira, Offshore Nurse at Subsea 7, the award for Britchan's "initiatives to mitigate the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on Brazilian society" brought satisfaction to the team for "helping Brazil to stay away from COVID-19, keeping the industry active and families away from the disease". Bruna congratulates Intcom for contributing to the success of the initiative and says that technology has facilitated the protocol processes for shipping and the efficiency of operations during this period.
The nurse also highlights quick access to information as one of the great differentials of the new BlueHealth, not to mention the benefits of standardizing these processes, which have a positive impact on decision-making by managers in the HSE, HR and operations areas and reduce operating costs.
"The use of BlueHealth has helped us to get employees on board more quickly, while also providing quick access to the monitoring and history of care provided, medical checks and employees seen. It also serves as an ally in standardizing processes and helps to save paper generated by digitalization," says Bruna Teixeira (Offshore Nurse at Subsea 7).
The software serves the entire Subsea 7 crew in Brazil and helps to notify, manage and monitor potential risks and possible cases of COVID-19 in real time, in a coordinated, easy and interactive way. The successful implementation of the technology in the company is due both to the preservation of the health and safety of employees and to the reduction of the risk of suspension of activities and operations due to the pandemic.
